We’ve just launched our latest report about Short Breaks for children with SEND in Worcestershire.
More than 120 local families took part in our survey. They told us what is helping, what’s missing, and how the system could work better. Families said they often can’t access the support they need. Some don’t know where to go. Others find there is nothing available that suits their child’s age, needs, or area.
Many parents said the lack of Short Breaks affects their ability to work, rest, or keep going. Some families feel forgotten or left out.
This report pulls together all of that feedback in one place. It includes quotes from real families, data from our survey, and evidence from public documents.
We aren’t campaigning. We’re sharing what families are telling us, so services can work better in future. We hope this helps local decision-makers and providers understand what needs to change, and how we can work together.
We’ll keep families updated as we go. If you want to get involved, or if you have more to say, contact us at worcspcf@gmail.com
We’re stronger when we speak together.
