Worcestershire County Council is asking Worcestershire residents their opinions on how and where their budgets are spent and where cuts should be made.
In their recent Facebook post, the county council commented that “the cost of delivering essential services is rising fast, whilst demand continues to grow. Especially in adult social care, home to school transport, and support for children with EHCPs.”
Worcestershire Parent Carer knows that the cost of SEND provision is rising, but we can not support the local and national narrative that too much money is spent on disability.
It is imperative that the views and experiences of Worcestershire’s SEND families are heard by our council’s leaders and elected members. We would therefore urge parent carers to complete the questionnaire.
