Last week, 2 of our parent carer reps, Alison and Hazel, met up with Cathy Parvin, a Director from Dyspraxia Education, a national dyspraxia charity that just so happens to have its HQ in Worcester.
Dyspraxia Education has worked with over 400 schools to help them better support students with DCD. Plus more than 100 families a year receive direct support from Dyspraxia Education. Cathy was one of the authors of ‘Jimbo Fun’, a well-known handwriting motor skills programme for children used extensively across Worcestershire.
We’re delighted to say that Cathy has agreed to assist the Worcestershire Parent Carer Forum team and our efforts to coproduce improvements to Worcestershire’s diagnosis and therapy services for children and young people with movement and coordination difficulties. We will endeavour to keep you up to date with our progress.
