At today’s WPCF SEND Views & Voices Worcester event we were joined by Assistant Director of All Age Disability Daniela Carson from Worcestershire County Council. Parent carers shared their honest experiences of Worcestershire’s SEND services and the desperate need for improved communications. We also heard of children’s access to health services being blocked due to being electively home-educated, attending an out-of-county school, being EOTAS and schools not being supportive. Thanks to their lived experience, parents also posed practical solutions to address some of the raised concerns. We are grateful to the parent carers who attended and shared their views and experiences and for the peer support they so generously share with others.
